Sir Ganga Ram Hospital Reaps Prestigious Six Sigma Star Healthcare Award

In a significant achievement, Delhi’s Sir Ganga Ram Hospital (SGRH) reaps prestigious Six Sigma Star Healthcare Award of their hard work. India’s Army Chief Bipin Rawat gave this award to SGRH on Thursday at a mega event held at Pullman Hotel in Delhi.

The hospital has received the award in the category of ‘Most Popular Healthcare Media of the Year (2019). The institution has been recognized for serving outstanding and noble healthcare services to the society.

According to the organizing committee, Jury and Team Six Sigma Healthcare, SGRH has the capacity to translate vision into reality.

“I feel really proud to have an Award of Appreciation from India’s Army Chief Bipin Rawat for Sir Ganga Ram Hospital Media Relations Department being “most popular healthcare media of the year 2019”. This would not have been possible without blessings of god almighty and support from the public. I thank everyone from the bottom of my heart,” said Ajoy Sehgal, Head of Public Relation Department at SGRH.

Recently, The Health reported that a team of doctors at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital (SGRH) removed the heaviest kidney ever reported in India which weighed 7.4 Kgs and 32×21.8 cm. in size.

Doctors at SGRH mentioned that the medical literature shows two earlier reports of heavier kidneys removed by urologists weighing 9 kg  (USA) and the other 8.7 kg (Netherlands). This was the third heaviest kidney ever to be removed by team of SGRH. Doctors from SGRH are planning to get this event registered to the Guinness World Records in future.
