India Will Launch A Vaccine Website To Share Development Of The Vaccine
India is going to have its own dedicated vaccine website which will work as a repository for all the information related to the development of vaccine in India. Russia also has a dedicated vaccine website Sputnikvaccine for their first registered vaccine in the world.
The section of such website will contain links to scientific publications on the history of vaccines, their clinical trials, the technological platform, the proven safety of this approach, as well as their application in the fight against various diseases.
The website will also fetch the data from international platform of WHO based on as available as it is on regular intervals. People will be able to get the access of all the information related to the real-time development of the vaccine under one umbrella which will be managed by ICMR.
Dr Samiran Panda, Scientist G & head of Epidemiology and Communicable Diseases (ECD), Division at ICMR told media that all the information is scattered now. Therefore, after the directions from DG, we are working to develop this ICMR vaccine portal. Initially, the website will show data for COVID-19 vaccine.
As per the report, the website will be made available for the public in the coming week. Website will have information updated under the tabs ‘About Vaccine’, ‘COVID-19 vaccine’, ‘India’s initiative’, International Symposium and Frequently Asked Questions for the general public.
Currently, there are three major vaccine producers in India which have got the nod for conducting clinical trials from drug regulator i.e. ‘Bharat Biotech’, ‘Zydus Cadila’, ‘Serum Institute of India’.
India’s daily tests have scaled a new peak of 10 lakh 23 thousand today. India has achieved another milestone as it recorded highest ever single day recoveries of 63,631 in the last 24 hours.
