Four Suspected Cases of Corona Virus In India Come Negative

The government of India informed that the National Institute of Virology (NIV) Pune stated that the result of four suspected samples for Corona Virus have come negative.

The union health ministry in its latest tweet informed that two samples were from Mumbai; one from Bengaluru and Telangana each. However, one of the patients from Mumbai has tested positive for Rhinovirus, a one of the routine common cold virus.

The new coronavirus (known as 2019-nCoV) was first reported in Wuhan City, China, on 31 December 2019, and has since been detected in travellers to other countries. WHO is working with the Chinese authorities and global experts to learn more about the virus and how to prevent its spread.

As per the reports coming from Chinese media, A total of 571 confirmed cases of 2019-nCov in 25 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities) have been detected including 95 severe cases and 17 deaths (all from Hubei Province). 4928 cases have been put under observation.

In order to fight Novel Coronavirus (nCoV), Chinese authorities have shut down all public transportation in the Wuhan city.

Embassy of India in Beijing also published advisories stating that the relevant Chinese authorities have assured all assistance to residents of Wuhan, including food supply.
