Experts In India Raised Awareness On Intermittent Fasting


Preventive healthcare through Intermittent Fasting is the best way to healthy life, discussed health experts in the national capital while raising awareness on the healthy lifestyle among the people.

In a groundbreaking event which was attended by over 300 doctors from the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M) along with Smart Group, the medical experts deliberated about the most cutting edge and futurists innovations in preventive healthcare.

“The technique of intermittent fasting has gained attention because of its positive effects on both weight loss and reducing diseases” said Dr M (BK Modi) Founder-Chairman, Smart Group.

Experts said that intermittent fasting as a weight loss therapy gives positive results gradually. If it is unfollowed suddenly then it can also lead to tremendous weight gain resulting in the disturbance of hormonal balance and the digestive cycle.

People in any age bracket irrespective of gender are recommended for intermittent fasting. Such practices are known to well regulate the lipids in the body thereby maintaining the glycemic index. It may be noted that in 2018, the researchers from the university of Alabama conducted a study on intermittent fasting. The concept of intermittent fasting is drawing attention of the doctors in the West which has been a part of Indian lifestyle since ages.

The study noted that longer periods of fasting (2 to 4 days) aids in rebooting the immune system, clearing out old immune cells and regenerating new ones.
